Gordi HQ Coffee Shop: Indonesia’s 1st Coffee Subscription Service Has Leveled Up

Gordi HQ Review

Gordi to Gordi HQ. From a small business to a bigger business. From Indonesia’s first coffee subscription service to a Monday to Sunday coffee shop. Very few coffee places start with credentials like Gordi, which attracts customers from the get-go. It is no surprise that some of their patrons are actually subscribers of the service first. That, my friend, is the power of coffee.

But beyond that, Gordi HQ is certainly powerful enough to entice Jakarta coffee hoppers on its own. Airy space, lots of sunlight, green outdoor space. Gordi HQ has a certain feel of openness that is welcoming and rare. Whenever the weather permits—no rain and no extreme heat—they will also allow you to have coffee picnic at their grassy yard.

If you enjoy Gordi’s choice of coffee in their subscription service, chances are you’re going to like the coffee at Gordi HQ. Serving a selection of Indonesian beans and the occasional international beans, their “slow bar” a.k.a. manual brew bar is stocked with the same beans from the previous batch of subscription. In a way, subscribers will definitely get a sense of familiarity at Gordi HQ. Other than that, you can also opt for espresso-based drinks, chocolate drinks by Korte, and tea.

As for food, there are 5 choices of croissants, 2 quiche, 4 sandwich, and cakes. No heavy meal, so make sure to fill your tummy with something substantial first, especially considering the location. Located at the residential areas of Jalan Jeruk Purut, Gordi HQ has that peaceful atmosphere despite being only 5 to 10 minutes away from the traffic jam madness.

Gordi HQ is a brave yet logical step up from Gordi. It is a continuation of a brilliant idea that has resulted in fruition, and we can’t wait to see what Gordi will do in the future. More coffee shops, maybe? Expansion of their subscription service overseas, perhaps? Owning their own coffee plantation, possibly? Dream big, folks. You never know where it will take you ?
