All men should make coffee for their women. It says right there in the Bible.
Whether that has something to do with the male-dominated espresso & manual bar, or is it just a pun to get more heads noticing this neighborhood coffee shop in PIK, I don’t know. I’d like to think it’s more to the latter. One thing I know for sure though, the baristas behind the Victoria Arduino is the real deal.
The cup of cappuccino and filter I had was evidence to both knowledge and skill that they have. Smooth silky milk and a chocolatey taste gets me on a good mood. Likewise with the filter, fruity and more on the acidic end of the equation. It gives a great pleasure enjoying the two interchangeably in between reading the chapters off of Danny Meyer’s book. So good that two hours passed just like that *snap fingers*.
Unlike the coffee though, the ambience is something of a common sight. It does give you a sense of familiarity in instant, but at the same time you long for something new, something different, which I don’t get it from here. There’s nothing to worry though, it is still a great spot with a lot of lights for your OOTD and flatlay food shots. As for me, this is a great mobile office spot. It opens until late (9PM) which is a big plus. Just enough time to get things done before heading home.
With that in mind, I surely hope that the caffeine at He Brews Coffee never runs dry. Not for Biblical reasons, but I will need the space to work in every now and then.
