If there’s an award for the second most talked about coffee shop in Serpong after Turning Point Coffee, it would be Scandinavian Coffee Shop. It has been reappearing on my Instagram feed to the point that I simply can’t contain my curiosity.
I have never got the right time to visit though until I took a trip to Serpong to visit The Taable, a collaboration between two creative heads Amanda and Axel on photography and art directing. I couldn’t ask for a better coffee companion. Them and my two Bali friends simply made my day.
That’s the first thing I notice here, Scandinavian Coffee Shop does a very well job in creating a warm inviting ambience. Bricks, wood, morning breath, and glass filtered sunlight set a good vibe for conversations. We easily spent an hour or two without us realising. Talk went from common client hassles to the future of photography. I couldn’t really recall aside from the new business ideas I came up for The Taable. One good afternoon and I’d definitely remember.
Wait, I haven’t mention anything about the coffee have I? Well, I didn’t in purpose. You can read between the line. However, the mille crepes cakes though, they are pretty indulging. I suppose it came from La Reia Cake? I won’t doubt the quality if it really was them.
Smokers, you’d love it here. Since you most likely care less about the coffee anyway, take the comfort that they have spacious outdoor seating for you to choo-choo your train all day long.
