Happy New Year 2018, dear Wanderbites readers! Per tradition, we’re kicking off the new month with a recap of new restaurant & cafe in Jakarta that opened last month, December 2017. The year end brought us at least seven new spots, and we guess it’s not much of a surprise to say that the F&B scene ain’t slowing down, even a bit. So, shall we?
1. Putu Made (Flavors of Bali)
Putu Made is born out of the collaboration between Boga Group and Chef Mandif Warokka, the man behind Teatro Gastrotreque and BLANCO par Mandif in Bali. It brings spices and flavors of the Island of the Gods to Jakarta.
Address: Senayan City 5th Floor
2. Hog Wild with Chef Bruno
Bali’s popular Hog Wild has arrived in Gading Serpong with its selection of ribs and martinis.
Address: Cihuni, Padegangan, Gading Serpong
3. Serasa Coffeetaria
Offering authentic Indonesian comfort food alongside coffee, Serasa Coffeetaria has quickly become one of the hotspots for a quick catch-up with friends and family in Kebayoran Baru area.
Address: Jl. Cibulan Raya No. 17A, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta
4. Mother Monster
Number four on this new restaurant & cafe in Jakarta list is Mother Monster in Plaza Indonesia. With its quirky, almost mysterious persona on social media, Mother Monster will surely attract customers to come and have a taste of its Western cuisine, coffee, and booze.
Address: Plaza Indonesia
5. Nora Gelato
Nora Gelato serves Italian-style gelato made with natural ingredients in Menteng area. The bright blue stall looks humble in all its simplicity, but more gelato in Jakarta is always a good idea.
Address: Jl. Johar No. 5A, Gondangdia, Menteng
6. On Three
On Three is a new coffee shop located in Senopati Suites apartment. There seems to be no meals except pastries at the moment, but don’t hesitate to come because of it. The outdoor space looks exceptional and people have been raving about it.
Address: Senopati Suites, 3rd Floor, South Jakarta
7. DoDee Paidang Indonesia
The last spot on this month’s new restaurant & cafe in Jakarta is occupied by an import. DoDee Paidang is a Thai street food and noodle bar from Sydney and Melbourne.
Address: Puri Indah Mal, Ground Floor
