Ready or not, the calendar has turned into February 2018. There were a lot of things that happened in January 2018, including an earthquake in Jakarta, the super blue blood moon, and at least twelve new restaurant & cafe in Jakarta. 1. Zenraku Dashi Chazuke

2. On Three
On Three in Senopati Suites is perhaps the number one darling on social media this past few weeks. We have been there and have to admit that the place, especially the frequently-photographed bar area and outdoor space, is very well-designed. Full review coming up real soon.

3. Yoisho Ramen
A tasty no pork, no lard, and halal ramen in South Jakarta sounds too good to be true, but that is exactly what Yoisho Ramen is trying to offer. With those, a kawaii mural, funky neon lights, and a green atmosphere, Yoisho Ramen has what it takes to get people’s attention from the get-go.

4. Baku Sayang
There isn’t many restaurant focusing on food from East Indonesia, so Baku Sayang with its Manado Ternate cuisine is a welcome addition to Jakarta’s culinary scene.

From its choice to uplift and repackage a local Indonesian dish, batagor, to its colorful social media, everything about Batagorilla scream kekinian. Paired with a glass of Iced Coconut Water, Batagorilla is the kind of food you could snack on a daily basis.

6. KALA Coffee by Seniman
Sharing a space with the healthy food specialist Beets and Bouts, KALA Coffee is ready caffeinate office workers in Mega Kuningan with its specialty coffee.

7. Kura Sushi
Gyukatsu enthusiasts, this one is for you. The newly-opened Kura Sushi in PIK focus on serving wagyukatsu alongside a variety of other Japanese dishes.

8. Balloon & Whisk
Serving you hand-crafted cookies and cakes, Balloon & Whisk seems to be the perfect place for your afternoon tea time. And that place and color scheme will remind you of Paris’ famous Ladurée.

9. Caffeine Lab
True to its hashtag #ngopidilobby, Caffeine Lab is a small coffee shop in the lobby of an office building in Central Jakarta area. With straightforward coffee menus and light snacks, it surely will be a hang-out spot for people working in the area.

10. Bilik Senja Kopi
Number ten on the new restaurant & cafe in Jakarta list is Bilik Senja Kopi, a coffee shop in Panglima Polim area. There isn’t much information about this place at the moment, but the space surely looks beautiful.

With its iconic bare concrete wall decorated with various knick-knacks and colorful Latin American food, Lalla is fully equipped to satiate your eyes and appetite in Gatsu area.

12. O! Fish Kelapa Gading
Gading Serpong’s favorite fish ’n chips joint recently opened a second outlet in Kelapa Gading. Full review coming up real soon.
