Fresh Bites—Sept 2016 : New Restaurants Jakarta

New Restaurant Jakarta

Say hello to a new segment on Wanderbites, Fresh Bites: New Restaurants Jakarta! At the end of every month we’re going to share with you hot food spots and new restaurants in Jakarta. Yes, we haven’t tried all of them (but we will, soon), but these are the first impressions that we gathered from various sources.

In other words, Fresh Bites is our own personal list of places that we would love to try and a way to keep you readers stay up to date ?. That being said, if you’re up for the real deal (our complete review), stay tuned to our social media and blog for updates! Here we go!

1. Nord
Another coffee shop in Pluit neighborhood opened its door in September, Nord. Aside from its coffee, the dominant monochromatic colors of the whole space certainly is a distinguishable trait that patrons will remember. All in all, Nord is a well-thought coffee shop with a solid concept, and you can read our review here.

2. Nalu Bowls
Yes, this is the Nalu Bowls from Bali! Many have tried to emulate Nalu Bowls’ success story in Jakarta by selling healthy and delicious smoothie bowls, but the hype is simply not the same. We’ll see whether the arrival of Nalu Bowls will change that.

4. Maarkeze
From the people who brought you Ombé and Djule, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Maarkeze. While Grand Indonesia is not short of places to drink a cup of joe, Maarkeze is on its own lane. Serving specialty coffee, it will definitely be a ‘basecamp’ for coffee enthusiasts around the area.
