Discovering Food With Open Snap: Flow Coffee Serpong

I don’t know what’s happening, but lately I’ve been finding myself exploring Serpong more than before. Maybe I just need an escape from Jakarta’s madness. Maybe deep down this neighbourhood has grown a little more familiar and comfortable. That afternoon though, I was really craving for a good cup of drip coffee.

With the few options I have around where I live, I decided to consult Open Snap on what’s good in Serpong. Yes, it was pretty darn easy to filter search by location and the most important thing, by a specific keyword. Flow Coffee came up and looks very promising. So, off I went.

Easy filter with location, keywords, and type of food. Win!

On the first impression, Flow Coffee feels a bit cold as it was quite silent despite of the fact that all the tables are full. However, the ambience quickly warmed up as soon as the barista greeted me in person and carefully listen to what I was looking for. We spent a few minutes discussing the single origins that they have at the moment. I was torn between trying Seven Seeds’ Kenya or Proud Mary’s El Savador, and finally decided on the earlier because the beans are on the better time to consume judging from the roasting date.

Seven Seeds Kenya Kasheen V60-ed (IDR 50K)

It was a good call, as you can see from the photo here. The V60-ed Kenya Kasheen comes with a bold aroma, high acidity and a rather strong kick at the end. Sweet sweet beans with a hint of raspberry. If coffee is not what you’re looking for though, worry not, Flow Coffee Serpong also has the crowd-pleasers : Matcha & Taro Latte for IDR30K or various Chocolate drink brought to you by Korte. They also serve light food and cakes too for those looking for more munch than thirst quencher.

A good cup of drip coffee & a good light. Picture perfect.

If there’s a way to rate my day, I would say that afternoon was the highlight and that cup of coffee plays a crucial role in making that happen. Thanks to Open Snap too for the recommendations. I’m saving this app on my phone for more food adventures like this. If you’re on to it, here’s a few culinary trip ideas I find useful on the site:
