“What a difference a day made, twenty four little hour. Brought the sun and the flower, where there used to be rain.”
I was singing to the tunes of Jamie Cullum as I arrived at Plaza Barat Senayan last weekend. It was starting to drizzle and people were busy finding shelter. Not with me, I march on with the confidence that rain is part of the fun that I was looking for that Saturday. Indeed, fun was what I encountered as the rain only do a quick stopover and left with a beautiful pinkish purple sky.
I’m always been more of a park guy instead of a mall guy. That being said, going to Samsung GALAXY A‘s AveNew Fair is a quick getaway I look forward to. The event itself is a continuation from AveNew Party that started earlier this year and will be followed with A Market afterwards. Now, AveNew Fair is an open space entertainment filled with interesting stalls, live music and most importantly for me vast amount of food trucks to enjoy from!
The first one that caught my eyes was a food truck called Telap-Telep with Batik patterns painted all over the body. I’ve seen people doing tacos, burger and many other western oriented food, but this is something new. As it turns out they are doing an Indonesian version of many things, from noodle to burrito. The favorite menu is Mie Comblang (Chicken Noodle with Kecombrang) and Nasi Sesat.
The second one is Hi Fries. A brand specializing in french fries with variety of tasty toppings. My choice for the night is their Nori sauce. I fell in love with it on the first bite and right after finishing them I know it’s going to be my favorite.
Having a full belly while feasting my eyes and ears to the good performances of Sore and RAN is surely something I’ll look forward to again. Not to mention, they don’t charge anything for the entrance. I must say the team who assembled this did it well. Surely you have made a difference in just a day, Kudos!
