The name is catchy, the kind that you’d remember easily. The place is located at the center of Melawai, Blok M, The Little Tokyo of Jakarta. The interior resembles a typical izakaya in Japan. The authenticity is sealed by the regular Japanese patrons. All these adds up to Kira Kira Ginza’s popularity.
I’ve heard of this spot for a while, but have just visited it recently. I must admit the restaurant is worth visiting. That being said, I’m going to keep this post super short as I’ve summed up everything in the paragraph above. I’m gonna leave you with a pictorial stories of what was good, what you should try and a look of the ambience at Kira Kira Ginza.
Words on the street their Mabo Tofu (tofu served with beef, mushroom, and gravy) and Curry Nabe is also some of diners favorite. I didn’t get a chance to try it as it was our last visit of the day after a culinary marathon started with Echigoya Ramen and Kaihomaru. Will definitely come back to taste some more 😉
Cheers to more food stories ahead,
