I love Airbnb for numerous reasons. Cheaper rates, unique experiences with host, but most importantly I like the rebellious part of it. I like that I don’t have to always rely on hotels. I like that I get to live like a local. I like that on Airbnb the places I stayed in are one of a kind. That being said, I experiment with Airbnb whenever I get the chance to. Paris, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, New York are some of the cities I’ve marked on my Airbnb story. This time, I get the chance to do Bandung.
The glass house that I stayed in caught my eyes on the first look. It’s beautiful, colorful and bathed in so much natural light, taking pictures here is like being in a Donna Hay studio, effortless. But don’t take my word for it, enjoy the photos below instead.
Now, location-wise it is a bit off the grid from downtown. It will be quite hard to find it on the first time, but afterwards it should be easy. Worry not, the awesome host, Reggie will guide you. For those who are looking for a quiet getaway, the glass house is meant for you, but for those who prefer to be within walking distance to happenings or food, nope you’re not getting them here. Gojek is a miracle worker though for those late night cravings.
The house has two pretty large rooms which can fit 2-3 persons each. It is great for families or trips with a car full of friends. There are also two bathrooms available, one is inside the master room, the other one is outside. If you’re coming with your housemaid or driver, a separate room is also available for them to rest for the night. The architect has everything well thought of. What else do you need?
Oh, fast internet. Check.
Cable TV. Check.
Monocle for photo props. Check.
I guess the only thing left is for you to check it out. Here’s a quick link to it: The Glass House Airbnb Bandung
